Rapido Motorhomes - History, Models and Overview
Rapido Motorhomes is a well-established European motorhome manufacturer known for producing high-quality, premium motorhomes with strong engineering and refined interiors. The company is based in Mayenne, France, and has been building leisure vehicles since the early 1960s.
The origins of Rapido trace back to Constant Rousseau, a cabinetmaker who founded the business in 1948. The company initially focused on furniture before moving into leisure vehicles, creating a folding caravan in 1961 that helped launch the brand.
Rapido entered the motorhome market in 1983 with its first model, the Randonneur 410, and has since grown into one of Europe's most recognised motorhome manufacturers.
Today, Rapido is part of the wider Rapido Group, which owns multiple leisure vehicle brands across Europe and North America.
